Our "Twisted" Story
In 2008, while mowing a pasture, Rexx stumbled upon a horseshoe that had been through the ringer—twisted, beaten, but still intact. "That's it," he thought. "Twisted Luck." What started as a clever business name became a way of life.
Raised on an Ohio farm with Clydesdale horses and his grandparents' expansive garden, Rexx learned early that sustainable living wasn't a trend—it was tradition. After earning two Associate's degrees and a Bachelor's, he pursued a Master's degree in Agribusiness from Kansas State University, using his own garden as the business case study. Twisted Luck Produce was born, turning a profit in its first year.
A post-graduation trip to New Zealand changed everything. Riding in a Coyaltix carriage for the first time, Rexx knew he'd found something special. Within two years, he became the exclusive North American agent for these Polish-built custom carriages—a role he still holds today.
But the biggest twist of luck? Meeting Danielle. Through mutual friends and a shared love of horses, they built a life together on this Tennessee farm. What started as a carriage business and market garden evolved into something bigger: a commitment to help others grow sustainably, whether through community composting, lab-tested worm castings, or custom carriages built to last generations.
In 2022, Rexx discovered vermicomposting. With an abundance of horse manure and a passion for soil science, Twisted Luck Sustainable Solutions was born. Now, as he completes his Master's thesis through real-world field trials, the circle closes: education meets experience, science meets sustainability, and three generations of farming knowledge meet the future.
We're not just running a business. We're building a movement—one compost bin, one garden, and one carriage at a time.

What We Stand For
Twisted Luck stands for common sense, Sustainability First, Science Backed, Quality over Quantity, Community Focused business. We are here to better every single person we come in contact with through Composting, Soil Amendments, Horses, or Carriages!

Sustainability First
We don't just talk about sustainability—we live it. From closing the loop between horses, compost, worms, and hay to eliminating chemical inputs, every decision we make considers its impact on the soil, the planet, and future generations.

Quality over Quantity
We sift our worm castings to 1/8 inch. We use breathable canvas bags. We hot-compost to kill pathogens. We're the exclusive Coyaltix agent because we only partner with the best. If it has the Twisted Luck name, it meets our standards.

Science Backed
No gimmicks. No guesswork. Everything we produce is field-tested and lab-analyzed. Our Master's thesis research isn't just academic—it's proof that natural methods work, backed by data you can see.

Community Focused
We're not just serving West Tennessee—we're part of it. From composting services that keep waste out of landfills to educational workshops to Pick Tennessee Products certification, we believe in building a stronger, healthier, more sustainable community together.
